Summary
A pipe-based construction toy. Updated to be easier to print, easier to assemble, and stronger than ever!
Printing
- All parts can be printed without supports.
- It's very important to minimize bottom layer curling. If curling around sharp corners is an issue, add a brim or use an adhesion aid.
- Print one “Top” and one “Bottom” for each connector. If file names do not include these labels, the connector either prints as a single part (such as caps and I Connectors) or the top and bottom are symmetrical (like T Connectors).
- If using pins, print a few test copies first to determine if the regular or loose option is right for your printer.
Assembly
- Align the top and bottom parts of the connector then insert pins to lock the halves together.
- Pins should be a tight fit, but they should not be so tight that the connector is damaged from inserting the pin. Applying a few careful taps with a hammer to seat a tight pin is both acceptable and expected.
- In most cases, glue is NOT required, but it may be useful for loose pins or connectors that only have only a single pin.
